English - Vietnamese Glossary
We recognize that language is key to intergenerational healing, and yet many of us face communication barriers within our own families particularly around politics. We want to equip community members with some helpful words spanning topics like elections, social services, health, media, education, immigration, environmental justice and gender equity. We hope to empower folks who are fired up to have intergenerational conversations but may not know the right words to move hearts and minds.
This is a living glossary that we hope to grow to meet the needs of our community. Note that the accent used is a Northern ‘54 accent and that alternate translations/terms may be missing. PIVOT welcomes feedback, suggestions for improvement, additions, as well as expansion requests. Please email pivot17@gmail.com.
