PIVOT Statement: PIVOT Stands Alongside Our Community and the Community Health Centers that Serve Them to Oppose Prop 44

We oppose Prop 44 because it threatens to shut down hundreds of community health clinics (CHC) throughout the state and may force major cuts to patient services who may not have health insurance. Prop 44 harms mission-driven CHCs that provide comprehensive primary care and preventive healthcare services, and have saved lives and dollars. In medically underserved communities, community health clinics are the only source of care for hundreds of miles. If clinics are forced to close, millions of patients will have nowhere to turn for care.
