PIVOT –– the Progressive Vietnamese American Organization –– is excited to announce that we are seeking our inaugural Executive Director to lead and grow our national organization. Founded in 2017, PIVOT is at a critical growth stage, and this key position will provide instrumental leadership to take the organization to the next level. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors.
Work with PIVOT committee chairs to ensure objectives are met
Provide guidance and coaching to new committee leads to move projects forward;
Serve as a connector and liaison between committees to integrate/ coordinate work; and
Oversee and/or manage required grant-/ project-based reporting, as needed.
Fundraising and Financial Management
Help PIVOT work toward financial sustainability;
Work with Fundraising Committee leads to ensure fundraising goals are met;
Seek and establish new sources of grants/fundings; and
Provide financial reporting support to the Board.
Board Development
Work collaboratively with Board Chair to manage board committees, and to ensure PIVOT has a sustainable, working Board; and
Partner with the Board to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate progress on Strategic Plan.
Partnership and Relationships
Represent the organization and expand PIVOT’s network of diverse constituents;
Develop relationships with elected officials, political activists; non-profit organizations, political communities, and press;
Develop strategic communications plan in partnership with Board Chair or designee, including performing high-level written and oral communication; and
Serve as spokesperson and/or organizational representative in collaboration/ coordination with Board Chair or designee.
Competitive salary based on experience.
